School still sucks
Unfortunately, I've had no time to do anything other than school work for the last month. Only another 2 weeks to go though, then it's all over for this year! After that, I'm taking 10 days off before going back to work, during that time I hope to knock out a whole bunch of updates for this site and for my blog.
I can't recall what features I had planned, but maybe there is a silver lining to losing all my work in that I'll have a chance to start fresh and think about things from a new angle. Who knows, the next release might be way better than all the other previous versions combined.
Pure 2.0 = Mirage
Pure was good for what I used it for, but it left much to be desired. There are a bunch of features I need for the future projects that require more than simple flat files for posting news, so I found some nice code and a nice fellow who was willing to help me spruce it up, so now Pure is Mirage. On the surface, it looks the same. Under the hood, it's a whole other beast.
On a side note, my hard drive fried last Thursday - completely destroying all my most important data that I had neglected to back up. I am essentially starting again today as I reinstall OSX, this time with twice the HD space though. I am very disappointed that all the planning and feature idea forms were blown away with all the other data too, because I don't remember most of what I've written down over the years. Unfortunately, I've learned the hard way that you should always have 3 copies of your important files at 3 different locations.
